Hathaway Brown soccer team has success in first year under Carmen Ptacek

The first season for Hathaway Brown soccer coach Carmen Ptacek was a good one even though the sting of losing, 2-1, in double overtime to Canfield in a Division II regional semifinal may still hurt. "We had a great season," Ptacek said. "This season, we did a lot better than people expected us to. I knew this team was very, very young."  Full Story »

The Hathaway Brown soccer team ran away with its seventh straight district title as the Blazers knocked out Lake Catholic, 4-1, in a Division II contest at University School's upper campus. HB will play Canfield in a regional semifinal at 7 p.m. tonight at Ravenna High School. The teams played last year with HB winning, 1-0.  Full Story »
