The Hawken School girls soccer team just finished off the best season in school history and that was reflected in the Chagrin Valley Conference postseason awards. The Hawks, who won the Chagrin Division, advanced to the Division III state semifinals. Hawken's Stan Shulman was named Coach of the Year while the Hawks are the only team with three first team players selected. The Hawks on the first team are senior Courtney Yoke, junior Mackenzie Lesnick and senior Sydney Hanzlik.  Full Story »

The Lady Bombers from Kenston travelled to Orange High School to square off with the Lions in a Chagrin Valley Conference match.  Leading scorers for both teams were sidelined causing coaches from both sides to make adjustments.  Kenston suffered another setback four minutes into the game as junior forward Rebecca Deuley suffered a severe leg injury in a collision with Orange goalie Jennifer Morten (senior).

 In a rematch of a 2010 Division II district final, the Lions defeated the Tigers for the first time in program history. Syd Willis and Ari Moss got the goals, both off assists from Simone Foster. Orange goalkeeper Rebecca Tenney had six saves.
