The Shoremen took a 1-0 lead with 31 minutes left in the Southwestern Conference match when Alex Strimbu beat two players and played a slotted pass to Mitch McManaman, who scored the goal. Amherst answered with a Cole Plumb penalty kick with a minute remaining.
