Deric Martin's bloop single to right field in the bottom of the ninth inning scored Ryan Baker with the winning run in the Division III sectional semifinal game for the Hurricanes (9-12). Alex Sommers went the distance, allowing six hits and striking out 13 while also belting a home run in the first inning to tie the game at 1-1.
