Senior guard Mycle Shadie made a half-court shot at the buzzer to give the visiting Dragons (10-1, 6-0) the dramatic win in the Akron City Series. Akron East overcame a seven-point deficit in the final 40 seconds to tie the game.

Shadie finished with 30 points, senior Davonte Brunson scoring 28 and junior Brandon Townsend 26.
