Brunswick, Ohio – Brunswick defeated Stow-Munroe Falls High School tonight by the score of 3-0. Brunswick improved their overall record to 6-1-3, and 1-1-1 in the River Division of the NOC. Stow drops to 5-6-1, and 0-3-0. Senior captain and midfielder Jesse Marinaro scored the game winner at the 27:30 mark of the first half. The goal was Marinaro’s 13th of the season. Senior midfielder Michael Zorij was credited with the assist on the play.
Junior forward Kyle Hotz scored from the penalty spot midway through the second half. It was an emotional goal for the junior forward, as he was mourning the loss of his grandfather over the past few days.
Junior midfielder Ryan Kordahi scored his first ever varsity goal on a deflected far post shot to round out the scoring. Freshman Gavin Leindecker earned the win and the clean sheet on two saves. Jackson Dame made eight saves in the loss for Stow.
Sophomore midfielder Justin Paalman earned Man of the Match honors for Brunswick for an incredible defensive display. Paalman made an incredible goal saving save off the goal line in the second half when the score was 2-0.
