The Falcons scored 12 unanswered points in the second half to win their Akron City Series opener.

Senior running back Darshawn Thomas rushed 16 times for 180 yards and two touchdowns for visiting Firestone (2-2, 1-0). Rob Gould capped the scoring by returning a fumble recovery 60 yards for a touchdown.
