Junior Tom Hallal scored three touchdowns, including two during the fourth-seeded Lancers’ pivotal 20-point third quarter in the Division V, Region 17 quarterfinal.

Hallal gained 111 yards on 19 carries. Junior quarterback Bill Urban was 12-of-18 passing for 143 yards and two TD passes to Lou Cangelosi as host Gilmour (9-1) advances to play top-seeded North Lima South Range this week at a site to be determined. South Range (11-0) defeated Kirtland, 45-30, on Friday.

Fifth-seeded Mathews, in the playoffs for the second time in school history, ends the year at 10-1.
