Shaker Heights Secures First Victory

Behind a punishing running attack, led by Narvin Powell, who had 21 carries for 102 yards, and a stellar defense that caused 4 turnovers, including a one-handed interception by David Hitchens, the Shaker Heights Red Raiders beat the Warrensville Heights Tigers 10-6 to secure their first victory. Freshman Derek Burgess caught the game winning touchdown pass from sophomore starting quarterback Connor Hall, who was 6 for 17 for 107 yards. Fullback Devaughn Dubose also ran the ball 8 times for 27 yards.
