Senior quarterback Brad Novak tossed two touchdown passes and the Eagle defense pitched a shutout as North Olmsted moved to 2-0 on the season.
North Olmsted struck first following a Lakewood turnover.
Behind the running of Mike Starcovic and the passing of Novak, the Eagles took advantage of a short field and scored on a 4 yard pass to tight end Joe Keleman.
Novak rolled right and set his feet, the lefty then fired a perfect strike to Keleman wide open in the back of the endzone with 6:40 left in the quarter.
Novak set up the play by picking up a first down on 3rd and 5. He broke six Lakewood tackles and fought for exactly the yardage he needed.
The Eagles added another score early in the second quarter when Novak found Starcovic leaking out of the backfield. The senior RB caught Novak's swing pass in stride and raced 30 yards up the right sideline for the score.
Defensive back Dylan Maxwell got in on the scoring later in the second quarter when he stepped in front of a Tommy Fuller pass and made a dazzling interception, then raced 63 yards to paydirt for an Eagle touchdown.
With less than a minute remaining in the third quarter, North Olmsted scored on its second return of the game. This time, Tom Rodriguez stepped in front of a Tommy Fuller pass at the 45 yard line and returned it for the score.
Rodriguez picked up great blocks on the run back by Rayshon Robinson and Michael Shackleton to reach the end zone.
Rodriguez capped the scoring with a 37 yard field goal in the fourth quarter.
