Hornets ending the season strong

, January 29, 2013 11:22 p.m.

In their last regular season senate game, the lady hornets orchestrated by the brilliance of their backcourt, put 100 points on the board.  After passing by several opportunites to score in triple digits, constrained by their coaching staff, they finally cracked it on tuesday.  Led by the brilliance of the area's best backcourts, Aryana Jackson and her incredible scoring prowess was on full display again today putting up 21 points on another day where she was 4 for 6 from behind the arc, following last game where she went 5 for 5 from a few feet behind the arc and making you pay with blistering drives to the hole if you tried to defend the jumper.  She also led the team in steals  Dyna Lurns was brilliant in keeping everybody happy, dropping dimes on the break, feeding the emerging post players and finding her two favorite targets(Aryan Jackson and Janira May) for open looks all over the court.  Also being very disruptive on defense, deflecting and stealing everything in her vicinity.  Janira May the least known of the three as of late has truly caught on fire on the offensive end of the court developing a great midrange jumper.  She also is probably the best individual defender on the team which is a huge statment.  Emerging post players make things look better and better for their hopes in the post season.  John Hay looks like they are here to stay.  Coach Toles said, "the girls are comfortable with their roles and are playing better every game, we hope to makeup for that embarassing loss to a scrappy Maple Heights team in last year's playoffs".
