Both teams played to scoreless half with Brunswick missing on a couple of opportunities. Amherst broke the tie with a early second half goal from a defensive breakdown on the Blue Devil's part allowing Amherst to score. Brunswick answered with junior midfielder Jesse Marinaro knocking the ball in the back of net off a shot from junior forward Dylon Castro to knot the game 1-1. With 4:37 remaining, senior co-captain Brent Janik scored off a direct kick by hitting the top of the cross bar, slicing the ball in for the game winning goal.
