(Deb Svoboda)
Playing in one of the most physical contests of the season, the blue and gold lost to Lutheran West 13 - 0. Five turnovers did in the home team. Several drives were cut short by interceptions and a fumble. The 'Canes hung tough on a strong defensive effort.
Defensively, Brooklyn was led by Sophomore Gilbert Diaz with 8 solo tackles and Junior Jordan McKeever with 7 unassisted tackles. Connor Ritchie blocked an extra point and had several tackles. On offense the 'Canes were sporadic unable to sustain any type of drive. Several big plays by McKeever and Grose could not be converted into points.
The Hurricanes look to regroup for homecoming as they face Fairview at 7:00PM.
