Kenston Lady Bombers defeat Chagrin Falls

Kenston senior, Briana Bartolone got the scoring started in the 18th minute on an assist from junior Jenni Lepri.  It took Chagrin two minutes to answer as senior Preston Mendel tied the score at one.  Chagrin then took the lead in the 29th minute as sophomore Rachel Zaluski volleyed a cross from junior Ashlyn Flaherty into the back of the net.  Chagrin's lead was short lived as Kenston answered less than a minute later as junior Grace Moran scored on an assist from junior Rebecca Deuley.  

After a 2-2 first half, Kenston then took control as Bartolone notched her 11th goal of the season eight minutes into the second half.  Chagrin continued to press in the second half looking for the equalizer but were denied by Kenston's defense led by sophomore goalie Sarah Newcomb (7 saves) and the back line of seniors Rebecca Cardaman, Lindsay Dibaggis and junior Allison Porter.  Leslie Hoye had four saves in goal for Chagrin Falls.
