Division 1 Regional Champion and State Final Four team in 2011 Sylvania Northview travelled to Avon Lake and battled the Shoregals to 1-1 tie. The Ladykats led off the scoring midway through the first half when Sophomore Leah Arnsby booted in a teammate's deflected shot. That goal stood up through the rest of the half as Northview maintained a 1-0 lead at the break. The Ladykats controlled the game throughout the second half, but with 1:45 remaining Freshman Catie Corrigan sent a long pass up the right side of the field to Senior Claire Jones who dribbled by a Northview defender and then sent a shot into the upper left corner of the Ladykat net to earn the draw. The Avon Lake goalkeeping duties were shared by Senior Abby Rogers with 4 saves and Junior Amy Crooks with 3 saves. In goal for the Ladykats was Freshman Kathleen Duwve who recorded one save.
In JV action, Avon Lake prevailed 3-2.
