St. Ignatius, Beavercreek, CVCA, Dayton Carroll, Ottawa Hills and Worthington Christian all advance to boys soccer finals

The field is set for Friday's boys state soccer finals at Crew Stadium in Columbus. St. Ignatius and Beavercreek will square off in Division I. CVCA and Dayton Carroll in Division II. Ottawa Hills and Worthington Christian in Division III. All games will be video streamed live on OhioHSsports.com  starting with the DIII final at noon.

Semifinals roundup 

Division I - St. Ignatius 2, Anthony Wayne 0: The top-ranked Wildcats flexed their muscle against fifth-ranked Anthony Wayne on Tuesday night at Rocky River High School.  The Wildcats got the scoring underway on a fluke goal with 8:24 remaining in the first half. They grabbed a 2-0 lead with 3:19 left in the game on a Vaughn Spurrier goal off a Leone pass.

Division I - Beavercreek 1, Dublin Jerome 0: Beavercreek outlasted Dublin Jerome, 1-0, in a thriller at Cedarville University on Tuesday night. Kyle McCray scored in the 77th minute to lift the Beavers to Friday's DI final against St. Ignatius.

Division II - CVCA 3, Bay 1: The Royals' Matt Mason stole the spotlight on Tuesday night in Medina. The standout senior striker scored two goals - giving him 27 for the season -  in CVCA's semifinal win.

Division II - Dayton Carroll 2, Columbus St. Francis DeSales 1: After six long years, the Patriots finally have landed a spot in the finals. Tuesday night's win over the Stallions broke a four-match losing streak in the semis. Carroll junior Daniel Holmes scored both goals for the Patriots.

Division III - Ottawa Hills 3, Hawken 0: Ottawa Hills scored two goals in the first 13:22 of the game and never looked back in knocking off the top-ranked Hawks. Brothers Logan and Reed Glosser both had goals for Ottawa.

Division III - Worthington Christian 2, Mariemont 1 2OT: Worthington Christian came out on top of a double overtime thriller on Tuesday night in Chillicothe. Eric Stevenson scored the go-ahead goal with 5:59 left in the second overtime.
