CANTON - It was a great season for the Chagrin Falls football team, but it didn't end the way the Tigers hoped as they lost, 37-7, to Kettering Archbishop Alter in a Division IV state championship game on Saturday at Fawcett Stadium in Canton.
The unbeaten Knights (15-0) won their second straight Division IV state championship as they handed Chagrin Falls (14-1) its first loss of the season. It marked the first time the Tigers reached the state championship game.

Kettering Alter's defense forced five Chagrin Falls turnovers and senior running back Cody Taulbee rushed for 126 yards and three touchdowns as the Knights rolled to a 37-7 victory in the Division IV championship game. It was Alter's second consecutive title game win.
